Oh, wait… that’s A bomb…. My bad.

So, do you think that whole Crazy Scientology Video and/or the unauthorized Tom Cruise biography had anything to do with “Mad Money” being such a flop in its opening weekend?
Hmm…

R.I.P Merv Griffin

Television magnate, Merv Griffin, passed away today at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center here in LA after a decade-long fight against prostate cancer. He was 82.
The name “Merv Griffin” immediately brings to mind game shows. He created both “Jeopardy” (he also wrote the show’s famous theme song, which reportedly earned him somewhere between $70-$80 million in royalties!) […]

Keith Richards Admits To Snorting Dear Old Dad

Let’s just get it out of the way now, shall we? Eeeeeeeewwww!!!

There are two main points of weirdness in this story:
1. Hundred and sixty year-old propped-up corpse, Keith Richards, wanted to clarify that he did not snort cocaine (Whaaa?!) mixed with his father’s ashes….
2. …But he did snort his father’s ashes!! Good Lord, man!
In an […]

Lindsay’s Embarrassing Elle Interview - Sneak Peak!

By now you may have heard about Lindsay Lohan telling Elle magazine that she would never drink and drive - just hours before her first DUI arrest… The rehab-hopping redhead told the mag:
“…[the paparazzi] are looking for me to trip, so they can be like, ‘Oh, Lindsay’s wasted and driving drunk.’ …I’m much more responsible […]

Weinstein Co. Sets “Sicko” Traps

Just when you thought it was safe to watch illegally uploaded indie flicks…
Much like many music studios did when all that hubbub about downloading music was going on, Weinstein Co. has now hired anti-piracy firms to flood the Internet with fake versions of Micheal Moore’s new film, “Sicko,” which, as StarkedLA reported yesterday, had popped up […]

Happy 21st Birthday, Olsen Twins!

Mary-Kate and Ashley can now use their gazillions of dollars to legally purchase alcohol! (But watch out for all those calories, Mary-Kate…)
There’s no news on how the super-skinny, crazy-eyed celebrity sisters will celebrate this historic landmark, but perhaps Svedka Vodka can sponsor the bash, since they don’t have to worry about Lindsay Lohan drinking up all the liquor next month […]

Not Such A “Fantastic” Idea

From the “What Were They Thinking Department,” comes this story of a seriously ill-advised ad-campaign.
The New York Post is reporting that Twentieth Century Fox - and really, who else but Fox would have thought of this? - had a bright, shiny, full color picture of superhero, The Silver Surfer, stamped on the back of 40,000 California state […]

TMNT: It stands for democracy

It’s no “RoboCop Criterion Collection” but TMNT is looking like shiny dollar signs on top the Box Office this past week. With cash rolling in around the 25.5 million dollar mark the turtles are sure to avoid the soup bowl for quite a bit longer. The hardworking staff of starked.com has yet to […]

‘300′ still defending top spot

‘300′ continues it’s slaughter of the box office, strongly defending it’s hold on the top. ‘Wild Hogs’ is riding a wave of nostalgia towards box office good times, while Chris Rock’s new vehicle ‘I think I love my Wife’ is crawling into the top five like so many abused husbands crawl back into bed.
1. 300 […]

Ghost Ride the whip to $40+mill.

Who doesn’t love a good comic book movie? Oh wait, you don’t? Really? Well, too bad because 44 million in opening dollars for the new Nic Cage flame thrower, ‘Ghost Rider’ says a few nerds still do. And by nerds we mean smart, hip, literate, homebodies, who enjoy a little fire with […]
